OUR STORY
Hunters4Hope began with a simple yet powerful idea: to turn surplus into sustenance. Based in Canterbury, we are a passionate group of hunters, volunteers, and community members dedicated to addressing food insecurity.
From humble beginnings, Hunters4Hope started as a couple of guys, an idea, some surplus , venison a 40 year old mincer, which has grown into a movement of giving, sustainability, and hope.
By collaborating with hunters, commercial hunting outfitters, local charities, and food assistance pantries, we strive to ensure that no venison goes to waste and that every meal created serves as a source of nourishment and comfort to those in need. Through our efforts, we are not only feeding families but also fostering a sense of connection and care within our communities.

OUR MISSION
Our mission is to be an example of what can be achieved, when multiple facets within our communities combine their efforts for the greater good.
The three pillars that we strive for are:

-
to be an avenue by which local and international hunters are able to donate surplus venison, and ensure it gets utilised to benefit others less fortunate.
-
to be an example to the next generation of hunters coming through, that we can all make a difference, when we combine our efforts to help others
-
to ensure that all product, produced through Hunters4hope, is utilised to fight food insecurity and support the well-being of local communities, at NO CHARGE.
We aim to inspire hope, address critical food-related issues, and create a brighter future for all through our dedicated programs and initiatives.
Our goal for 2025 is to donate over 12,500 kilos of venison which will provide over 100,000 meals to our local community.

OUR VISION
We envision a nationwide network of hunters, volunteers, and charity groups working in harmony to fully utilise surplus game meat, and collectively we eliminate hunger in NZ, region by region.
